Today's Alexism
Background: We are all driving home from the library. Daddy got home from work late before we had to take off to story hour, so he didn't have time to eat. Daddy made some 'justifications' as to why we needed to stop at McDonald's on the way home for him to get something to eat. At this time, we had just left the drive thru...
Alex: Tewhehshdllakj laj df djfljsd fl...Duke game!
Mommy: What did you say? I don't understand you!
Alex: Jadakdkjg jdlkajd kdies...Duke Game!
Mommy: (In an effort to irritate Daddy just for fun and while reaching into the bag to grab Alex a french fry) I think he said that he needs one of Daddy's french fries!
Alex: No, I said that I need the whole package!!
Everyone: Laughter!! Even from Julia!!
Alex and Julia proceeded to eat about a quarter of Daddy's french fries on the rest of the way home!! Ha!!

Updates
Sorry it has taken me so long to post a new blog!! These past couple of weeks have been incredibly busy with the kids and there is so much to share!!
We enjoyed the beautiful weather a few weeks ago! Both kids enjoyed playing outside, rolling around in their car, and playing soccer! Julia even had her first trip to the park...at least where she didn't just sit in the stroller or get to only ride the baby swing! She loves the park and is definitely a thrill seeker! She prefers to go down the slide head first! Duke also enjoyed the weather while squeezing in a few extra walks!
Alex enjoyed his first movie at the movie theater a few weeks ago. A local theater does children's movies during the week in the winter and so we decided to head over for a showing of "Ice Age" with his friend, Owen. They were both very well behaved and enjoyed going to the 'big scream' for a movie and popcorn!
Both Alex and Julia had the opportunity to celebrate Abraham Lincoln's 200th birthday last week! Alex and Julia enjoyed going to the local County Museum of History, having some birthday cake, and having their picture taken with Honest Abe!
Alex and Julia also enjoyed their Valentine's Day last weekend. We celebrated as a family by going out to Chipotle. Daddy even let us get chips just for the occasion. Alex enjoyed making Valentine's for his friends and family. Mommy even made him sign all of his Valentine's for his preschool friends. I figured it was a good opportunity for him to practice writing out his name!

Alex and Julia's daily "Dress Like a Pirate" moment. They like to dress up and pretend that they are pirates and, evidently, this is how they believe that pirates dress!! Alex's outfit consists of a woman's scarf zig-zagged across his torso and a ribbon around his head. Julia's outfit consists of mommy's Hawaiian beach wrap adorned either over her shoulders or over her head, as seen in the photo.
