Zoo Trip

A few weekends ago, we decided to take a little road trip to another local zoo. We were able to check out their new Africa exhibit and Alex and Julia were excited to see zebras, giraffes, rhinoceroses, and lions. It was a nice change of pace!!

You will see below in the pictures a picture of Alex and Julia looking at the lions. Shortly after that picture was taken, the lions decided to get a little frisky with each other. At the time, Daddy and I (as well as several other zoo patrons) were laughing and Alex kept asking what they were doing. We told him wrestling...

Just a week later, we were reminiscing about our trip and Alex was asking about the lions. He seemed a little unsure if we had seen them that day and I reminded him that they were 'playing and wrestling.' Daddy said..."I don't know that they were wrestling (He likes to cause trouble sometimes!)." And I said..."oh, they were definitely wrestling." To which Alex responded..."Yeah, I think they were wrestling, too, but the other mommy there called it lion love." (Laughter from both Mommy and Daddy) Thanks other mommy at the zoo, we had a little cleaning up to do!!
