Fun Run

Julia's (striped dress) first Fun Run experience...We weren't sure if she would like it or not and figured she would ask to "carry you," which is her way of asking you to carry her. But, she persevered and ran the entire half lap while Daddy walked beside her.

Julia's number...She was quite proud of it and didn't want to take it off for the rest of the night!

Alex's first run (gray shirt w/ Cardinal's short, between two yellow shirt runners)! He did awesome!

Another week's shot...Julia is straight ahead with the pink top.

Alex (red shirt, center) is really booking it here in this picture...this is the time before last Friday. Of course I forget the camera the time that Alex really booked it on his lap and came in 4th place of all the five year olds!! Daddy and Alex plan to line up early tonight...they feel as though if he starts in the front rather than the back, he might be able to get 1st place!!

Children's Museum of Indianapolis

The dinosaurs were crawling up into the building and Julia kept saying that she was "scared." You could see them as you drove into the parking garage and when Daddy took her out of the car and could take his arms from her but she still wouldn't fall. She was clinging onto him like a little monkey!

An old steam engine that they literally put in the building as they were building around it!

Julia and her "choo-choo trains." I have never seen a little girls as obsessed with trains as her!

Julia really got a kick out of the old fashioned phone!

"Look, Mom! I can live in Egypt...no problem!!"

Chillin' out in the pyramids!

A life size Nile crocodile...Alex seems to have gotten over his fears. Julia seems to have discovered hers!

Checkin' out the Gone with the Wind Barbie!

Julia has developed a new career interest...being a Barbie receptionist. She was diggin' the pink phone!!

A close up shot...

Doodling with Etcha Sketch...

Both Alex and Julia loved playing in the play area...We could have taken them to the park for free instead!!

More playing...

Indy Racecar

Sailboat exhibit...This was actually really cool. You could build your boat and then follow its movement with the power of air and sails.

The Carousel...This was Julia's great-grandma's favorite part about visiting the Children's Museum when Mommy was little.

Alex showing off on the Carousel!

Back to the choo-choo trains! Julia could have chilled here all day!

Alex went back to the dinosaurs while Julia watched the trains. We went first thing, but didn't get may pictures because it was a bit crowded.

Julia is back just in time to play dinosaurs!

Alex kept eating Julia's Triceratops with his T-Rex...Julia was none to happy about it!

All in all, we had a great time at the Children's Museum in Indy! We would definitely recommend it! The only bummer of our day...Alex didn't want to have his picture taken with any of the Star Wars characters! He was looking forward to seeing them for weeks, but when it came time to actually posing with them for a picture, he wouldn't do it. And he told me that he wasn't scared of anything...sure!!

The Bearer of Awesomeness and the Flower Girl

When they first met each other all snazzed up...

Looking for her Uncle Mike to show him how great she looked...

The Bearer of Awesomeness

Being a bit silly...

She used the altar for entertainment for about 20 minutes.
At least it was in the air conditioning!!

Daddy and Julia

The organ helped to fill up a couple more minutes...

A close up shot...

Showing off her flowers...

Showing Uncle Matt her flowers...

Getting started...Julia seemed to know exactly what to do! She was like..."Come on Alex, this way!" She dumped her flowers, though!

I was surprised she actually went through with it! Poor Alex can hardly walk in his dress shoes at this point. By the time the ceremony actually rolled around, he had huge blisters on his heels. We wheeled him up to the starting point in Julia's stroller and then I took his shoes off when he got to the front and sat down.

The Bride, Groom, and Officiant

Playing with party pop streamers...

They both fell asleep in the car on the way to the reception. Julia actually fell asleep before we even pulled out of the parking lot!!

Dancing Time!! They have been practicing this for weeks!!

More dancing...

None of the single ladies wanted the bouquet and Melissa tried to give it to Julia. Julia said, "No thanks, I don't want to get married."

Thanks to Uncle Matt's save, Alex was the winner of the garter! He seemed pretty proud of himself!

Family picture after a long day and flash flooding into the reception!!
