As always, we have been crazy busy! This past weekend, Alex, Julia, and Mommy went to the Airplane Museum! It is Alex's favorite museum and he loves to sit in the Huey helicopter. He tells me that he wants to be a helicopter pilot when he grows up! He is also growing up so fast; yesterday, he asked me "so, how did you like your trip to the Airplane Museum, Mommy?" He cracks me up!
On Sunday, we celebrated Father's Day. Alex, Julia, Duke, and Mommy let Daddy sleep in while we made him a big breakfast of French Toast, Watermelon, and Cantaloupe. Then we headed to the zoo, which is always a good time (except for the fact that the carousel is broken right now!). We then visited the new playground equipment across from the zoo. Alex was thrilled that there was a pirate ship to play on. Then, Daddy and Alex worked on Alex's garden until the storm blew through...we were also supposed to go swimming, but the storm put a damper on that plan!
Julia is progressing by leaps and bounds! She started eating green beans last week and she seems to really like them! She loves to make wet razzes while she eats them showing us that she is very happy, but green beans fly everywhere!! We are not sure how to stop her from doing that! Julia has also really taken off on her mobility! She has been rolling over since the end of April, but hasn't really taken a liking to doing it a lot until recently! We really have to keep an eye on her because she can log roll herself across the room!
Alex had his first zoo class today! It was tons of fun...Alex petted a ferret, a baby-pigmy goat, and a long haired guinea pig (which looked like a toupee when it was on the floor). Alex also got to feed the baby goat a bottle! We spent a little more time at the zoo after his class and were able to see the sea lion show. We usually just miss it, but made it in time today! Alex absolutely loved it! He was amazed at all the tricks the sea lions could do!
