If I had an I-Phone...I could have enlightened you with these status updates while on vacation. I know, I know…I am not one to make status updates frequently, but the special circumstances of the situation would have warranted it!

Sunday

Status: Airlines +$50, Us -$50---Anyone want a now obsolete suitcase?? (Some stupid baloney about our suitcase being “one inch” too big).

Status: Yes, that is my child screaming “Mommy, I’m stuck” on the airplane and I’m sorry!

Status: We’re here…in Florida…and it’s COLD?!?!?

Status: Alex officially thinks that the Star Tours ride at Hollywood Studios is the best ride evvvvverrrrrr!!

Status: What are they teaching those kids over at UNI? This Disney/UNI Student worker thinks the Cardinals are the Redbirds and vice versa!!

Status: Julia will officially have a cold by the end of the week…I caught her licking a handrail. Just Great!!

Status: We just met Mickey Mouse and it was awesome!!

Monday

Status: Julia’s jaw just dropped when she saw ‘Rella’s’ castle!

Status: Alex just rode his first roller coaster, Goofy’s Barnstormer, and he is hooked!!! Off to the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad…oh wait…it started to rain. Off to Mickey, Minnie, and the Princesses!!

Status: Alex tells me that he is NOT going to give Cinderella a kiss this time, but he seems awfully smitten with her once we meet her. Still no kiss, however!

Status: Julia and I are off to the Haunted Mansion while Alex tests the waters of the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad with Daddy. Verdict: We all survive!!

Status: Are we in Florida or the Midwest?? I’m so confused, because it is still gloomy and raining…it seems like the Midwest to me! Florida rain is supposed to be in and out!!

Status: After a much needed break, we are back at the Magic Kingdom! Off to the Monsters, Inc Laugh Floor…Julia was picked to be “Boo” and had her picture put up on a big projection screen for the whole audience to see!! Disney will sell you just about anything, but no offers of a DVD to show you all how cute of a ‘Boo’ she was!!

Status: Daddy just had a ‘Papa’ moment while watching Julia watch the SpectroMagic Parade.

Status: (Conversation between Me and a little Girl wearing a Canada Olympics hooded sweatshirt)…Me: Are you looking forward the Olympics? Her: Yes!! Me: Are you from the Vancouver area? Her: No, actually I’m from Canada. ---Did she think I meant Vancouver, Washington?? Just kidding…She was about eight years old and it was cute!

Status: If she is tired, Julia can sleep almost anywhere…even on top of my shoulders during the fireworks!
